Warren T. Jackson Elementary School, an International Baccalaureate World School, is an Atlanta Public School, nationally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and schools. Since 1965, Jackson Elementary has been the quiet jewel in our neighborhood that has consistently provided our children with superior academics, unique learning experiences and an emotional intelligence so they are fully prepared for their academic future.
Jackson was the second public school nationwide to obtain dual certification as both IB Primary Years Programme and a STEAM certified school. All Jackson teachers are certified in gifted education to provide above and beyond enrichment opportunities for all students. 2017 - Jackson earned a 100.7 College and Career Readiness Performance Index (CCRPI) score, The first time in history that an Atlanta Public School received a score above 100%.

2015 - Jackson teacher, Mrs. Kesha Payne, was named Atlanta Public Schools Elementary Teacher of the Year.
2014 - Jackson was the only Atlanta school to receive the highest Platinum honors for attaining exceptional CRCT scores from the Governor’s Office of Accountability for 3 years in a row.
2013 - Jackson receive the highest Platinum honors for attaining exceptional CRCT scores from the Governor’s Office of Accountability.

2011 - Jackson was the only Atlanta-area elementary school to maintain its credential as a Georgia School of Excellence by the Georgia Department of Education, which keeps Jackson in the top 10% of schools statewide.
2010 - Jackson Elementary School recognized as a 2010 Georgia Schools of Excellence in Student Achievement by the Georgia Department of Education.
2010 -Jackson teacher, Mrs. Leslie Tumlin, was named Atlanta Public Schools Elementary Teacher of the Year.
2010 - Dr. Jane Goodall, famed paleontologist and founder of worldwide student program, Roots & Shoots, visited Jackson to personally recognize our students’ many community-service endeavors. 2010 - Jackson’s Wellness Program (a PTA initiative) was recognized and spotlighted as a role model by the Atlanta Public School System, and earned Jackson a Bronze award as a healthy school.
2008 - Jackson teacher, Mrs. Shanti Sparks, wrote and illustrated a book, Honey and the Sunset. Her manuscript was selected for the Library of Congress.
2001 - Jackson was designated as a National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education.
