The Smart Way Business Gives Back.
One of the goals of every PTA is to raise funds for its school. And traditionally, this often takes the shape of yearly family-focused efforts. But Jackson's PTA goes beyond the expected when it comes to raising money. We also work in conjunction with the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce to target businesses we believe would offer valuable services to our campuses, and in turn, reap rewards as well. These businesses become our Partners in Education, whereby each partner agrees to make an annual contribution of funds, goods and/or services to Jackson. This contribution is used to further support and enrich our curriculum, along with providing necessary physical improvements to the school.
Businesses benefit as well. Not only are they able to interface directly with a market-specific audience, but quickly enjoy the appreciated support and purchasing power of Jackson parents. On-going recognition continues year-round in areas including our weekly newsletter, ads in our directory, and banners displayed prominently at all PTA-sponsored events (and there are many!).
Parents, please help us continue to make a difference in your child's education by supporting our Partners. This year, they include: Outback Steakhouse, Peachtree Presbyterian Church, Chick-fil-A at Northside parkway, Castle Painting, Northside Youth Organization, Boutte Tree, Inc., Hamilton Land Services, The Park Tavern, Willy's Mexicana Grill and Coke CCE. For example, use your Partner card at check-out each time you shop Publix and a percentage is accrued back to our school in cash--last year savvy shoppers earned Jackson nearly $10,000! (Kroger also lets us swipe up extra cash.) Or take a break from cooking whenever Jackson Night happens at Chick-fil-A (first Tuesday of the month), Willy's (third Tuesday of the month), or Outback Steakhouse (the last Thursday of the month). You eat, Jackson gains. Little things like this translate into big dollars for us!
Jackson is also affiliated with several other programs to help it earn funds. Box Tops for Education, sponsored by General Mills, allows parents to collect purple and yellow box top symbols found on its products, send them to school, and Jackson will receive 10 cents a top. You'll find a collection box at the lobby of both campuses. In addition, you can recycle printer cartridges and old cell phones and help Jackson at the same time. Collection bin for these items can also be found on both campuses.
