It happens when blue and yellow come together for good.

Talk about a grassroots effort. Jackson GreenThink is one of the school's latest programs created to augment our traditional curriculum with "real-world" education focusing on recycling, reducing, reusing and rethinking many different aspects of how we can be more eco-friendly in our world. Created by a group of concerned moms, the approach is multi-tiered, taking on everything from composting at the school with lunch waste to encouraging shopping with "I Care" bags to designating "No Idle" zones in carpool and bus lines.

The program kicked off on Earth Day, 2008, and an on-going itinerary of meaningful activities and topics
will be introduced to students on a regular basis.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Jackson is committed to being a Green school and has adopted the "Little Green School House" as a schoolwide model. We care about protecting our children's health – at school and in the world beyond school – and work to catalyze and support "green" actions by kids, teachers, and parents.
