TO ORDER A COPY OF THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE

You need to wait at least four to eight weeks before requesting certified copies of the birth certificate. The state of Georgia requires that much time in order to certify the certificate. When requesting certified copies, send this confirmation letter to the address below with a certified check or money order for $10.00 for the first copy and $5.00 for each additional copy. A wallet size, laminated copy is also available for $10.00. A certified check or money order should be made payable to Vital Records.

You should request your copies prior to your child's first birthday.
